International Relations Office

International Relations office is under the Vice Chancellors office and it serves as a point of contact between Kyambogo University, Institutions and Individuals world-wide seeking information on study and Research opportunities. It is also the first point of contact for those wishing to discuss potential collaborations.

The role of the International Office is to facilitate the process of internationalization at Kyambogo University by offering technical support to all academic departments and programme coordinators of international initiatives and activities.

Welcome to Uganda, Welcome to pearl of Africa!

It is my pleasure to welcome you to International Relations office page, and congratulations on taking a bold decision to join Kyambogo University international community, that is truly dedicated to providing a high-quality international education and experience for students and staff from all over the world.

Kyambogo University is the second largest public University in Uganda, located just 8kms from the city Centre of Kampala, with over 35,000 students hosted in six faculties and six schools. We have more than 40 international collaborations with other Universities and Colleges across the world.

The International Relations Office plays a pivotal role in promoting Kyambogo University on the global stage by engaging in diplomatic relations with foreign universities, organizations, and government agencies. Through these efforts, the office strives to enhance the university’s reputation, academic quality, and global competitiveness.

“Three months spent in a country that can really brag on being “the pearl of Africa”. Not only have I seen countless exotic animals, I’ve met a bunch of exotic people. People who have very little material benefits, but have the much merrier, kindness, joy and will to live. It is with a heavy heart that I now is back in Norway that i recommend everyone to spend a couple of months in Uganda. Perspective about what’s important, what you take for granted the importance of being thankful for what we have it here at home, is the most important lesson I’ve learned and experienced. There will be definitely not the last time I’m going back to the pearl of Africa. So long!”

“Never in the world would I have thought that three months of my life could have such a strong impact on me. But here I sit, with tears rolling down my cheeks, on my way to the plane to take me back to Norway. Uganda has taught me so much. Not only have I seen poverty and sorrow, sickness and struggle, but I’ve also seen wealth. Wealth in the form of smiles and laughter, “wealth in the form of games and play, wealth in the form of care and hospitality and wealth in the form of appreciation and hope. I’ve been happy to meet so many wonderful people, both big and small, and it is with a heavy heart that I leave here now. But this isn’t goodbye and it won’t be the last time I put my feet on the red soil in Uganda. Uganda, just wait.”
